Kemper Profiling Amplifier looper controlled by MIDI Grande
#1
How to control looper in Kemper Profiling Amplifier (KPA) by MIDI Grande?

First you have to globally activate four commands in MIDI Grande global settings, and their type has to be CC. We will use commands 5, 6, 7 and 8.
  • Press and hold the Edit/Save button for cca 5 seconds. The display shows: GLOB. You are in Global settings.
  • Press the Param> button until the display shows: 5---. It means thar you are editing the fifth command and it is disabled.
  • Press the Value> button twice, the display shows: 5 CC. It means that the fifth command is CONTROL CHANGE - CC.
  • Press the Param> button, the display shows: 5  5. It means thatr the fifth command is on MIDI channel 5.
  • Using the <Value button set 5  1. Most probably your KPA receives MIDI commands on channel 1.
  • Press the Param> button, the display shows: 6---. Use the same settings also for commands 6, 7 and 8. It means that they all have to be CC on channel 1.
  • Press shortly the Save button.

Now you can select the bank, register and layer in MIDI Grande that you wish to set for looper function for, and set CC numbers and values gradually to commands 5, 6, 7 and 8:
  • Rec/Play/Overdub:
    • CC#99 value=125
