Program Change map cycle in Cathedral???
Posted by: roxbox - 06-11-2018, 08:19 AM - Forum: MIDI modules - Replies (1)

Is it possible to make the Cathedral reverb respond to PC change messages other than 1 to 8, making the unit reacting to any program change received?

I mean, mapping for example an incoming PC 9 to Cathedral memory position 1 again, PC 10 to position 2, etc, cycling the 8 memory positions.

Thanks

KEMPER Profiler - Switch k MIDI Forte - doporučte
Posted by: marianguitar - 05-30-2018, 07:54 AM - Forum: MIDI Forte - No Replies

Hello,

I have such a problem that I partially solved, but I'm not happy. Own MIDI Forte MIDI pedal, which has the option to connect two expression pedals, but instead of the EXP pedal switch. So far, I have taken over the ZOOM FS-01 but it is momentary and it works in the sense that the selected control function is active in compressed state when it is released is OFF.

It can be used, but I would have to recommend a switch for this pedal, which would change the position from OFF to OFF or vice versa (as set by RIG KEMPERA).

Please guess the type (marker model) of a switch that would change this MIDI Forte which would change the position from ON to OFF or OFF to ON, thank you Smile

Kemper profiler switch 2 ways connected to midi grande as expression pedal
Posted by: vitchpat1 - 05-13-2018, 09:30 AM - Forum: MIDI Grande - Replies (1)

Hi all, I am looking to add a Kemper switch to my set up and would like to know if it can connected to the midi grande rather than on the expression pedal 1 of the Kemper. Any experience users on this and on how it should be set?

How to control digital mix Behringer XR18 by MIDI Grande 6F1D?
Posted by: Microdesignum - 04-30-2018, 11:52 AM - Forum: MIDI Grande - No Replies

Q (Andy, the UK): I need some help programing the pedal. What I want to control is snapshots, faders and mutes on my XR18. So say for instance I want to set snapshot 1 to bank 4/switch 1. How would I do that. Fader 1 which is CC#0  on the XR18. I would like to adjust the level now I know the level is a value  from 0 - 127  but how do I program that on the pedal?

A: First think how would you like to use the registers (footswitches) to control your XR18. Some MIDI Grande users use it as each bank (of MIDI controller) for each audio channel (of mix), ie. bank 1 controls input channel 1, bank 2 controls input channel 2 etc. ... bank 17 controls Aux Line In (17-18).

Or snapshot-based layout is also possible. For example, Regster 1 will be configured for PROGRAM CHANGEs to recall snapshots and registers 2, 3 and 4 will be for MUTEs of some input channels in each bank.

Also, would you like to use expression pedals to control faders? Or would you like to use fixed values programmed on registers (footswitches)?

How to control Rotary speaker on Kemper Profiler?
Posted by: Microdesignum - 04-18-2018, 12:40 PM - Forum: MIDI Grande - No Replies

Q (Michael): Is there any possibility to get the Rotationspeed slow and fast Switch working from your Midigrande 8 per midi? Maybe on Footswitch 6?

A (Microdesignum):
First configure your MIDI Grande controller to control a stompbox using register (footswitch) 6:

  • Press and hold Edit/Save button for cca 5 seconds. The display shows: GLOB.
  • When you release the button, the display shows: 1 PC by default.
  • Press Param> button twice. The display shows: 2---. It means that the second command is globally disabled.
  • Press Value> button until the display shows 2 CC. It means that the second command will be CC - Control Change.
  • Press the Param> button. The display shows: 2  2. It means that the second command is on MIDI channel 2 by default.
  • Press <Value button to set channel 1. The display will show then: 2  1.
You have globally enabled two commands for all layers: the first command is Program Change and the second is Control Change, both on channel 1. You can use one or both of them in programming the layers.

Continue in global settings.
  • Press register 6, the display shows: 6PGM. It means that register 6 is globally in program mode.
  • Press the Value> button, the display will show: 6STO. It means that register 6 will be in stompbox mode.
  • Press shortly Edit/Save button. You saved the global settings.
Global settings are complete. Now program both layers of register 6 in the first bank.
  • Press the register 6 so that it lights red. The display shows: 16-1. You are in the first bank - register 6 - first (red) layer.
  • Press shortly the Edit/Save button, the display shows EDIT. When you release the button, the display shows 1  6 and the PC dot is lit. It means that you are editing the first command of the edited layer, it is PC (Program Change) and its number is 6 by default.
  • Press Clear button, the display shows 1---. You don't need PC#6 in this layer.
  • Press the Param> button. The display shows 2--- and the CC dot is lit. The second command is disabled by default. Press Value> (or <Value) button to set 2 33. The CC#33 is used for Rotary speaker control on Kemper Profiler.
  • Press the Param> button, the display shows 2  0 and the dots CC and Value are lit. A Control Change command has two parameters: the number and the value. You have already set the number (CC#33) and now you are editing its value. Let it on default value 0 to set the slow speed of the Rotary speaker.
  • Press shortly Edit/Save button to save the settings of this layer.
Now do the similar with the green layer of register 6 with the exception of its value:
  • Press the register 6 so that it lights green. The display shows: 16-2. You are in the first bank - register 6 - second (green) layer.
You are editing the value of CC#33. Press <Value button once to set 2127 for the fast speed of the Rotary speaker.
  • Press shortly Edit/Save button to save the settings of this layer.
Your MIDI Grande is ready to control the speed of Rotary speaker on your Kemper Profiler by the register 6 in the first bank.

Posted by: Microdesignum - 04-16-2018, 12:43 PM - Forum: MIDI Forte (česky) - Replies (2)

Otázka (Marián):
Teraz som pripojil switch k Exp B a chcel by som pomocou CC22 spínačom ovládať on/off tohto modulu (napr. zapnúť a vypnúť harmonizer keď potrebujem).

Expression pedál a ovládání Kemper Profileru
Posted by: Microdesignum - 04-11-2018, 11:52 AM - Forum: MIDI Forte (česky) - No Replies

  Program change commands
Posted by: sithbass - 03-31-2018, 01:06 PM - Forum: MIDI Grande - Replies (1)

Hello,
I am using the 8IFD pedal to control my synth bass system and am experiencing problems with Program numbers and Midi thru data...

Here is the routing as of now:

Micro 8IFD (OUT)>> (IN) AXON AX 100 Midi guitar module (THRU) >> Mac Mini/Mainstage

That part is simple enough but I have to also run:

AXON AX 100 (OUT) >>> (IN) 2nd Midi interface to capture the Note values from AXON to trigger virtual synths.

The problem is when I run the AXON OUT to get midi notes it renders all of the program changes unusable, and no Program changes work.  I am also seeing a CC message on a midi monitor which says:  123 All Notes Off which is being sent on ALL MIDI CHANNELS!

SO somehow the AXON is triggering this but only when hooked up as described above.

When I remove the AXON OUT that error disappears but I still have incorrect Program changes.

Do I need to disable some SxsEx settings in the AXON or is there something in the Micro 8IFD I can set to correct this?

I have tried a number of different midi routings but no matter what I am left with at least one of the two results as stated above.  I even purchased an active midi splitter to run separate lines from the Micro pedal but no luck.

When I use this wiring with my hopefully soon to be retired Behringer FCB1010 pedal everything works flawlessly...

Any insights anyone may have would be greatly appreciated!

Nahrávání MIDI z kytary do počítače
Posted by: Microdesignum - 03-27-2018, 09:23 PM - Forum: MIDI zařízení a přístroje - Replies (3)

Otázka (Zdeněk):
Dobrý den. Možná mi poradíte...
Chtěl bych z kytary nahrávat do Cubase MIDI noty. Mám samozřejmě kytaru (elektrickou i akustickou), počítač s Cubase a zvukový modul Roland SD-50.
Natáhnu mid do Cubase a myší řeším veškeré úpravy.
Je na nich MIDI in a MIDI Out.
